Mariel with her painting Reign of Pele Mariel Corbett is a creator and artist originally from Southern California, she’s been living in Australia for about 5 years. From a young age she's had a passion for creating art, yet after starting a 9 to 5, art took a step back in her life. Covid lockdown allowed Mariel to reconnect with the artist inside her and she started selling artwork for the first time in March 2020. Mariel feels that creating art is a way to express herself, connect with her inner being and show herself and others love and beauty. Mariel is passionate about giving back to the community, she regularly donates 20% of sales to various non profit organizations. As an avid traveller, Mariel has been to over 30 countries, she gets inspiration from other artists around the world and incorporates these various techniques into her own art. Sarah is a whimsical, kooky and highly creative artist and designer. With a love of quirky design, the macabre and pop culture her pieces are created using a combination of iconic characters, painting, mix media and recycled art either found in a op shop or even street bountied. The aim is to delight and bring a sense of nostalgia to a world that never was, perhaps even a world that exists between our world where creatures and magical beasts roam the earth with humans. As a multi-disciplinary artist, designer, jewelry designer, prop maker, milliner, perform and experience designer, with a BA in Digital Design and UX, she uses art as a means to express the joy we can feel as we tap into our inner child and through her works let them run wild in the Imaginarium. “For me art is an extension of my soul, it has always been my happy place. Just like an antiquated dinosaur, the coal model and petrochemical industries need to go extinct before they consume all life in their path. When their activities are not curtailed, wild spaces are continually diminished.
