Parliament of Birds

 This is a large triptych - the central panel is 1.5x1.5m and the 2 wings each 0.75x1.5m in size

Seeing the park without people during the lockdowns I remembered Chaucer's long poem the Parlement of Fowles where his quester after knowledge dreams of coming upon such a Congress of birds in a grove where he listens for some to to the argument and speech of birds - though after waking can't make much of it . More images from its creation are here


I'd still like to add a few more of the birds from around Sydney, as well as fixing and touching up the painting of some as well
